The original series ran for 62 episodes and at some point strayed away from the manga (during its last episodes). However, the 2011 version is much better and has 148 episodes. Its characters and storyline are on point and it stays along the manga throughout all its episodes.

Berserk 1997

Berserk only runs for 25 episodes but makes it to the list of one of the best anime series ever created. This series will keep you engrossed on your screen as it develops each character in manner that you get to fall in love with them. It has some solid voice overs, intense graphic violence and an equally speculative ending.

Code Geass 2006
